Dembakwi Yomba playing with U17 National Team
15 year old Dembakwi Yomba, who played for CFC East since its inception in 2008 will be representing CFC East on the National Level. Dembakwi left CFC East in the summer and was selected for the US Soccer residency program in Bradenton FL when he has been attending school since August and training as part of the U17 National team.
"We have seen Dembakwi develop into a very gifted player, and have seen great improvement in his game over the last several years. Neil Jr has been working with him since he was 7." Said Director of coaching Neil McNab Sr when he learned of Bakwi's achievement. He added "Its great to have a player from our club reach this level."
Go Dembakwi and Go CFC East!!
CFC East Wristbands Now Available!
You may have seen some of the coaches wearing them at camp this past week. They are the wide Livestrong-type jelly bands. We have them in two colors: white and blue. They say "I Shoot, I Score, I WIN!" on one side and have our website on the other. The cost for one band is $3.00; or get 2 bands for $5.00. We think they are a great way to show your CFC East spirit and raise a few dollars for the club too. Contact admin@cfceast.org for more information.

Entry Level Referee Course
The Entry Course is the first class you will attend. For most, this means the Entry Course (R9). It is nine hours long, three on a weeknight (Thursday or Friday) and six hours on Saturday, four of which are on-field practice. All materials are provided. The cost is $80. The course fee does NOT include uniform or referee equipment, which will entail a cost of about $40 - $50 at a retailer. You must attend all of a nine (9) hours and pass a written 50-question test with 75% or higher. You will receive a teal Recreational Referee badge which will allow you to referee U-14 and younger recreational games and be an assistant referee on U-14 recreational and select games.
The Adult Player-Returning Referee Course is 16 hours long, taught over a single weekend. It is an entry class that covers all the Laws of the Game. It is intended for adults (over 16 years of age) with a minimum of ten years playing experience and referees who have let their registration lapse for more than four years. Requirements include scoring 75% or better on a 100-question test. Successful completion results in obtaining a referee grade 8 badge.
You can register for a class near you by going to www.GAReferees.com and clicking on their "Sign Up for Classes" link. A list of classes by location and date can be found.
